How we use your details

Frosting & Fête is a home bakery in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. We only ask for what we need to plan your cake or party, and we never sell or share it for marketing.

What we collect
When you enquire through the Party Builder or by email, WhatsApp or phone, we receive the details you give us:
- your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number;
- party details: theme, package, cake size, date, start time and venue;
- the child's first name and age, if you include them for the cake;
- allergy or dietary notes, so the cake is safe to eat;
- any description of the cake you have in mind.
Allergy notes can be health information, so we use them only to prepare your order safely and we do not share them.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, quote, plan, bake and deliver your order, and to keep the records the law requires. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and then performing that contract. For allergy notes we rely on your explicit consent, which you give by sending them to us.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers we use for email, our website and enquiry form, and payments, who handle it on our behalf. Some may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become a booking are deleted within 12 months. For bookings, we keep the invoice and order details for six years, as Irish tax law requires, and delete the rest after the party.
This website
This site uses no cookies and no advertising or tracking tools. Like any web server, ours keeps short-lived logs of requests, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and to count visits and which themes people look at. These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to how we use them, by emailing hello@frostingandfete.ie. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
